Lifelong Learning Modules

Lifelong Learning Modules are one way in which AACAP aids members in the re-certification process. Each module consists of approximately 35 journal articles, chosen by the Lifelong Learning Committee, that serve to educate individuals on important topics in child and adolescent psychiatry. Included in each module is a pre- and post-test that allows individuals to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ that have been ABPN-approved to meet both CME and self-assessment requirements. How are the articles for the module selected?

All AACAP members are encouraged to nominate articles for inclusion in all future modules. If you come across any pertinent articles you feel would be valuable for this effort, please submit them online. When submitting an article, make sure that it is:

practical and relevant to the practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist,
an article that all practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist should read, and
published within the last year.

Annual Meeting Self-Assessment Exam

The Annual Meeting Self-Assessment Exam is designed to help users assess their level of knowledge regarding current psychiatric practice and clinical advances in the field. Feedback from the exam can be used to guide selection of sessions at the Annual Meeting or future CME activity planning. Available from August to November each year.

Annual Meeting Self-Assessment Workshops
These workshops allow participants to engage in live multiple choice question-based discussions lead by expert clinicians. These workshops will also let participants document strengths in specific practice areas, identify opportunities for improvement, and focus on goals and form a framework for a professional development plan, all while earning ABPN-approved SA and CME credit. Do you need help keeping track of your recertification status?

Sign up and log in to ABPN's Physician Folios. The ABPN Physician Folios offers a single source to store all information pertinent to a physician during all the various stages of their relationship with the ABPN.
